A few simple Mod's to make hunting with Beach Hunter ID. easyer.

BEACH HUNTER

New member
My buddie changed it to a straight shaft..using fact arm rest and lower shaft. we just added a alum pipe the same diameter as fact shaft.. drilled holes where needed. We then installed the red handle grip..this came from a bike shop. some other helpfull mods are the adj. strap attached to the carry pouch Whites supply's with the B.H.I.D..you can now hang control box around neck...this makes it easy to see I.D lights and reach controls..this is most helpful hunting in neck deep water. One other simple mod to help you remove coil covers that are full of sand and stuck on..I cut 8 small cuts around coil cover lip(see photo) with a little cut off blade from dremel tool..this makes removing a tight cover easyer and it still stays in place while using.Hope someone finds these changes helpful! I love them!! HH!! just a thought on the neck strap if you can find a binocular strap that holds the box to your chest and fits over your arms and not your neck it might keep your neck from getting sore

iv got one ordered, should be here today.only prob i see is it looks like its set up to hang on your right side for the switch and wires to go forward.if you turn it over in the pouch then the switch would be too low in the pouch to hang on my left side as i prefer to do..i have a chest mount for CZ5 and it hurts my neck after about 2 hours of pulling down.but in the water it shouldn't matter.ideal would be a chest mount that fit over both shoulders like suspenders.reverse of a back pack. and take the weight off your neck.think i will make a trip to local army store and buy the army suspender vest and mod it to my need.

I have only swung the lower shaft in the water while wading. What advantage is the strait shaft over the curved shaft? Looks like a real nice conversion you all did!

iv been to 3 boat dealers and am having a real hard time finding the correct ID pipe to make strait shaft.also had mine out today for the 1st time,it did ok but did ID 2 nails as Rings!

I have been useing my BHID 4 over 7yrs, I use a neck strap & a nylon belt around my chest, this helps in keeping weight off the neck & pulling down. It also stops the control box from floating up. I changed my handle 2 a 1 pc. fiberglass rod because the surf kept bending my alum. shaft. This works good 4 me. GOOD HUNTING &GOOD LUCK. GG

Hey BH Where did you friend get the alum. rod cant seem to find one that size Dia.
