A few Red Racer finds!

Although I have had this Racer for ten days or so, don't really have all that much time in with it yet. A half dozen 2-3 hours hunts is about it. Hence, still learning its language.

Never the less, I have been able to make a few silver finds with it. I mainly old coin hunt, by the way. Since acquiring the Racer, I have recovered 8 silver coins and a sterling medal. 2 of the coins and medal came this morning.

Save for maybe 2 of the coins, most any detector would have found the rest. The 2 in mention, however, came from our old fairgrounds which has a lot of decaying iron and a 100+ years of trash accumulation. Not to fail to mention, it has been hunted hard for decades with dozens of models of detectors. 1 of the coins, the black 1916 Barber dime, came from a area that I personally have hunted a dozen or more times with a variety of detectors. The other coin, a 41 Mercury, came from beside a tree. Both coins were about 4" deep.

4 of the silvers were found with the small OOR coil and the other 4 and medal with the 11" coil.

So far, I am enjoying learning the Racer. If I can locate a 7-8" deep dime with it, it will be a keeper. HH jim tn
