I didnt get back into the detecting scene until late this yr . Thought id share a few finds I made this yr with th V3 . I just got it back this week from the V3i upgrade but with the weather looks like ill have to wait to see how much better this dog will hunt.

You got off to a late, but good start, welcome to the forum.

Welcome to the forum and it looks like you made some great finds! Pocket watches are way coool. I have never found one of those but hope to someday.
You will love the V3i. I just got mine about the end of Oct. and am still learning the ins-outs of it. If you get a chance load Magic's Pro program.

Of the Whites detectors I own, Eagle Spectrum, DFX and the V3i the V3i goes way deeper than any of the others. I have found some dimes at close to 10"
with Magic's program and slightly modified field settings(depend on your ground conditions).Deepest quarter hits have been close to 11".

The flexibility Whites built into the V3i to change just about any function is what I really like. If you are not a "tinkerer", just use Magic's program and the stock 10"D2.

Hope to see more posts from you this next year. Merry Christmas

Your find are great! (I have only found maybe two or three pocket watches and what incredible memories they have been!)

The "i" is a nice fine tuning and upgrade that you will really enjoy and once in a groove.....amazing.

One thing on that watch, parts are plentiful right now and using a find like that wouldn't be a big stretch. (What make?)

Thanks guys. The second pic is of a piece of pewter jewerly plated with gold . I've tried to find the rest of it at the old home stead but no luck as of yet. As for the watch unfortunatley there s no name or manufactorys name on it that I can find. The home stead is from the mid 1800s still alot to check out but like I said I got a late start .
