A few more non-silver recent finds.

As has been the case all season, silver coins refuse to show their face. But at least the copper and nickel coins keep surfacing. These finds are from the last few hunts out with Park Pirate. It certainly has been the year of the nickel with 8 more added to the count this week. Up to a total of 36 with 1 shield, 8 V's, 21 Buffaloes and 6 war nickels to date. I told Park Pirate I was going to post a group shot so no one could accuse me of posting the same old no date Buffalo ! I did manage a couple of indian head cents (1883 & 1896). I had quit a scare Thursday when I dug an old flat button the exact size of a GW inaugural button and not far from where I dug my one and only GW button about 25 years ago. But after removing a layer of dirt it was just a plain button. Also dug a nice 1909 VDB wheatie today. Where is that lousy "S" when you need it !

Nice finds. The VDB is a nice one, wasn't circulated very long, congrats.

You certainly are the nickel king! Where the hell is the "S" when you REALLY need it!

Nice finds Ed!
