A few more keepers today.

Actually I went back to a site I've hit a couple times this year already, its kind of like a lakeside grove+swimming area its been used for many many years. It's a real big area and kind of tough to decide where to hunt so I find myself wandering around quite a bit which I dont like to do. I'm going to start gridding off areas next time I go. It should produce quite a bit doing it that way.

Man, you got some honey holes! Great finds.

Is there a lot of pull tabs/bottle caps in the area? In one of our goods spots it's hard to make one full swing without hitting at least one tab.

HH - keep the pics coming.

Hey Mirage hows it going.
Actually theres surprisingly not much junk at all but the coins are real deep, nine times out of ten 8 or more inches I've pulled them out up to 11 inches. I was hunting with a buddy of mine today, he uses a sov gt and he got 1 rosie 2 barber dimes and an indian head penny. Another friend was with us about a week ago and got a real nice 1922 peace dollar. I'm still waiting to score a silver dollar. He also hunts with a Quattro.

Hi Butch,
You are doing quite well with your Quattro! Charles NY told me you are digging a lot of deepies. What settings do you use? Sweep speed?
Doug

Hi Doug.
I usually hunt in coin and jewelry mode with my sens. at 18 to 19. This seems to give me good solid hits in the 9 to 11 inch range. depending on the size of the coin. I dug a walking liberty half dollar a couple weekends ago on edge at 9" the number was lower than a walker would usually come in at, but I think it was because of it being on edge. It seems the deeper the coins the shorter the blip, not so much fainter but shorter in duration. As far as sweep speed I move very very slow, literally a crawl. But I tell you when This machine locks on to a deep target it just wont let go. I do pick up the pace a bit if its not a junky area but when I start hitting good targets I do slow down and work the area as best I can.
