A few more keepers from the ocean.

I got two hunts in while we were on Cape Cod again, this time for an extended 4 day weekend. I probably spent no more than 3 hours in the water each hunt. I've been working with the sensitivity, adjusting it out if auto when conditions are calm enough. The 6.3 dwt (9.8 grams) white gold band would have been found either way being large and loud. My biggest gripe is the Excalibur headphones cut out on my right ear often and it makes it hard to get the true audio characteristics of the target. I've been told this is common. Two religious medals came up from a difficult area to work due to a rocky bottom. Many beach areas have soft easy to work sandy bottoms but it seems they are often picked pretty clean by the locals. The weirdest find is the wishing well that may be a very old lead toy. Most people throw coins in a wishing well and I pulled one up from the ocean bottom, my wife saw this come up and we had a good laugh. By now she knows it can be anything in my scoop. None of the coins this time are silver and only one of the religious medals is, the other I think is brass.

great post... nice finds..... I like your homemade scoop, kinda reminds me of mine,i also put noodle on the end of my scoop handle...

Interesting finds. The well figurine is pretty unique.

Strange thatt the speaker cuts out. Never heard that one before and it doesn't sound right (no pun intended).

Nice! Seen you on the AT Pro/Gold forum. Nice that you're at the beach and finding gold.

I just got an Excalibur II last weekend for deeper water and beaches. Between the AT Pro and Excal, I'm happy. Going to Newport, RI end of August to visit Mom and am looking forward to some salt water hunting.

Nice ring! I don't know how you guys do it, that water looks pretty rough. I have problems getting my scoop to the target in the little waves that our lakes have when its windy.

Always enjoy your posts and the pics are great . Far cry from what happen to you last year at the Cape, sure glad that's behind you.

That was a rougher day and conditions can change fast. I've gone out when the waves were flat, a couple of hours before low tide peaks only to to get hammered by changing conditions once the tide starts to come back in. Getting knocked off target is a pain, I also have a swivel shoulder sling for my water units so I can concentrate on scooping with two hands and not worry about hanging onto the detector or straining the headphone cord.
