I have a GTAx 750 and am curious if the GTI 2500 would respond to deeper targets, in DISC, than the 750 if all conditions were the same. I like the 750, but don't get too many signals deeper than 5-6 inches.
Secondly, why does Garrett recommend swinging 1 to 2" above the ground when that would appear to reduce the depth by the same 1-2"?
 
That 750 will find deeper targets if they are there. The 2500 is a deeper machine.
 
The 2500 goes deeper than the 750. Trash and ground interference in answer to your second question. Garrett coils are super sensitive.
