Got out this morning for a couple hours. First good dig was a mercury dime and when I stuck my probe back in the hole, got another high tone and pulled out a second mercury dime. There was a small iron nail in the spoils pile so I guess that masked the dimes enough to keep them from being dug previously in this pounded park. Later on I added the 1903 Indian head cent and a nice 1919 Buffalo nickel to my keeper pouch. In the last 3 weeks I've dug nearly 30 older coins from this same park. Most from 1860-1870's. Wish there was some older silver to be found.
