Wow, was the Jersey shore busy this past week. It was like a SJMC club hunt. I hunted with Surfdigger, Diane, Barb, Janice, Harold and least a dozen other detectorists. Last Friday, I found one of my largest gold rings ever, 20 grams. Although it's a gold band with a gold nugget on the top, I have to says it's about the ugliest gold ring I've ever dug (if gold can be ugly). I also came home with a 1903 dime and a buffalo nickel. Last night, the wet sand wasn't producing much in the way of targets so I worked the dry. I wasn't expecting much, except clad. Much to my surprise, I pulled out a beautiful man's gold ring with 5 diamonds. I also found a huge silver anchor. Hope the next week stays this good.
