Not many goodies but hey, a day detecting in the sun in January is a great day!, regardless of finds. Managed 10 cents in clad today and a broken skeleton key.

Glad you were able to get out. I was out the day after Christmas and popped a silver dime, and then we got snow the next day. After that it was white, icy and cold until the 12th, but we've been busy packing to move anayway. Haven't had a chance to get out yet this month, but hope to a few times by this weekend.
Anytime you can get out and have fun it is worth it. Still, nicer weather makes it much more rewarding and enjoyable.

I noticed alot of rusty bottle caps, my "green machine" will think they are quarters sometimes. Were you digging everything?

I used a Bandido 2mmax, I could discriminate those out but it was an old area and I didn't want to miss any good targets. I dug pretty much everything that sounded remotely good, the bottlecaps tend to crackle a bit so I could have ignored them but...I'm an optimist..had to check just in case. <img src="/metal/html/lol.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":lol">
