A few hours hunt

I got this one out of my favorite hunting lake. I dug some silvers 1944-1943 quarters and some wheats in the same area. It is a hair barrette with no stamp on the inside so it maybe only brass. It cleaned up very well. Anyway it is still a very nice piece.
 
Pretty barrette. :) I wonder if certain gold or silver items are always stamped? I've found some earrings and tiny children's rings that are just too small to put a stamp on but I would swear they are solid precious metal. I guess there are test kits for finding out for sure.

That's what I am hoping for or maybe an antique. I haven't had it tested yet.
