A FEW GOODIES I FOUND.....

Hello Everyone,

I hope Im not clogging up the forum or wasting anyones time. None of my friends are into MDing. So when I talk to them their eyes just kinda glaze over. So I like to share my experiences here.

These are the goodies I have found so far.

I have been MDing for about five weeks or so. The gold initial ring was my first gold find (about three weeks ago). I found it at a park, in the sand. It was very exciting. I still play it over in my head.

The remaining items were all found in the past two weeks.
1 mens 14K white gold band (very nice) - dry sand
1 50 cal. slug from WW2 in great shape - mid way (The slug is pictured in another post) "My first relic...kinda"
1 silver ring with a small green stone - hard pan
1 silver earing, and 1 silver charm - earing in dry sand, charm in hard pan
1 brass "Zippo" lighter, still working - dry sand
1 stainless steel "Fossil" watch still ticking - dry sand

The Zippo and watch were found July 5th.

Along with this I have found about $25.00 in clad, and a bunch of other odds and ends.

Still cant wait to find my first diamond....

Right on!!!! Nice finds..... I have some friends that detect, but they dont want to invest any time or effort. I have to go on the forums to get my fix....:detecting:
 
You are off to a great start Ferd. Your friends eyes will start bulging where you start bring home gold with diamonds.............:yikes:

Great bunch of finds and your having fun! People have a hard time appreciating someone else's hobby because (by nature) hobbies are a very individual pursuit. I've taken quite a few non-detecting good friends out and once they see the whole process....they only then appreciate it when there involved in some way. (Even then, if I see their eyes start getting that glazed look...off to grab a burger or a beer!)
