A few good reasons NOT to get an E-Trac

You probably shouldn't get an e-trac if these things are relavent to you:

1) Smart Phones, they look so confusing. All those buttons...

2) Digital Cameras, they look so confusing. All those buttons...

3) You still use America Online to get on the World Wide Web

4) If you don't know how to create a "new folder" on your desktop, even though you've had a computer in your house for the past 20 years

...please add more reasons

Also another thing I think is hilariuos. People who return e-tracs becasue they say, "It just sounded like my detector was singing a song...I just like a machine that goes beep, beep."

haha, too true.

5) if digging deep holes seems too cumbersome for you

I have heard the tones argument so many times. I also agree with your other points. For myself, however, the ET is a perfect fit. HH -Marc

6) If you dont want to find anything.
7) If you dont have space to store finds.

9. If you detect (or plan on detecting) anywhere near Metro Detroit. I know I'm not the only one around here with the E-Trac, but I would like to be. :detecting:

10. If you don't know how to remove "green stuff" from your hands, NGE

12. If you want to leave most of the good stuff for other E-Trac owners.

Regarding people who sell or return their E-Trac. My dad sold his because he thought it was to complicated. I did not know he had one (he's a Garrett ane Whites guy) or I would have taken it off his hands.

Some of the targets I've dug were so deep, it made me dizzy looking down the hole ......!!!!!!!!!

Dont feel bad Ray, the others would not be able to get to them anyway unless they were swinging an Etrac of course........

I call it "silver death" First symptoms will include thinking about all those good hunting spots you use to hunt that will still produce silver. Usually followed up by hitting a few of those spots. Finding more silver and totally forgetting about everything else till you re hunt them with the E-Trac! lol

13) If you don't want the best turn on and go detector on the market!

14. If you don't like making your hunting buddies jealous.

I sure wish I had read all this before I bought mine. Thanks Minelab for making all E-Trac owners have to dig those DEEP holes finding the good stuff our friends are looking for looking for looking for. Well I guess I will pick up that old heavy E-Trac and go back to the SILVER mines. Rough but some of us has to do it. HH :minelab::usaflag:

greed is good! it cuts through and clarifies!

you would never want another detector

I will admit when it comes to cell phones and computers I just know just enough to use them. But I think the E-trac is pretty easy to use. Then again I'm not a guy with a bunch of custom programs. I just have 2 basic set-up's. One is for the woods and one for trashy area's.

15. If spending a little more money so you can get a detector that really will find the good, deep, hidden in trash and iron stuff you've been missing all these years you've been detecting.
