A few finds with the edge and the 5 in coil.

Hi Everyone

Had a chance to use the Edge with the 5.5 coil at a few hard hit spots. I was quite shocked when I was digging coins loud and clear at 5 inches at places that I thought were baron. No fooling with threshhold or worrying about power lines. Just set the sens at 8 and get busy detecting. The shield 5c was straight up on edge but still gave a strong signal. This machine is the real deal and is so fast at working through iron and trash! I've used many different detectors and would reach for this machine FIRST in an iron or trash infested site. Its so light with the 5.5 coil you can swing it all day. Just wish it had a backlight for night hunting!

The reason I ask is I'd like to know how it's responding to those steel core Canadian coins.

Thanks, saw the Canadian money and when I hunt the Maine coast all those Quebecois drop the steel clad stuff. Makes many machines crazy, on one pass you read the outer silver, and on the next pass the steel core.
