And some people say the Quattro is no good in the trash. Just throw a small coil on and your good to go.

Good grief, that's incredible. Were they very deep? Just wondering because of the small coil. I'm getting really intrested in this coil size thing lately.

Thats a nice assortment they seem to be in all shapes and sizes out of that site. I guess it used to be a civil war training camp. We have also found a few large cents in the area, one I got out of the water a couple summers ago.

Not very deep at all. The Indian was the deepest at 8 inches but the rest were all less than 6 inches. The three nickels were all in one hole. And they were all in what I would consider heavy trash. The small coil is awesome in the trash.

Yeah, that small coil is great. Just have to keep it slow as the temptation is to swing it fast. Those are some decent looking nickels. I found 5 Buffalo Nickels today and two yesterday. Only two dates on mine - 1938 and 1923. Nate says the 23 has an S mint mark but I can't see it. My eyes aren't what they use to be.

are obviously speaking from lack of experience Butch. Nice to see you're the proof in the pudding! Love those coins. Eight inches is a good depth. Did you get a clear signal with that coin?
Golden:)

Thanks Golden.
Eight inches seems to be about the max for that coil at least I haven't found anything deeper than that with it. As far as the signals, none of them were that perfect signal we all love to hear but I suspect that was due to the fact I was hunting in heavy trash. They were all signals which drew my attention and after a couple sweeps from different directions you could definitely tell there was a coin mixed in with the junk.

Thanks Bob
Sounds like you've been doing well. Yes that seems to be the key with that coil, keeping it slow, but it does a nice job in the trash.
