A Few Finds From Last Week

I tried a few new spots last week, sorry to say none were wildly productive, but I still had fun. I did pull about $10 ($5 in an hour at the skate park) in clad and another $8 in recycling. I also cleaned up ~850 zincolns and ran 'em through the Coinstar - It kicked about 70 back at me and said "My, You have a lot of coins", heh. So, I've cashed in about $100 in clad so far this year and $18 in recycling this month, hey, it adds up! I didn't bother with photos of the clad this week. (hopefully the server problems will get straightened out shortly & images will start working again)

Here are a few odds and ends from a local park and Cherry Creek Picnic Grove:

And Cherry Creek in non-monsoon mode:

I did some reconnaissance on an old wagon road north of Fort Bayard. I'll have to hike in to get to some old homesites, but found a few relics:

Despite being a bit of a back-water state, we still have state of the art communications:

And the Bayard Heliport:

These were found in a field not too far from that same area:

It's like a moonscape above Cherry Creek:

Well, time to head home and feed the Tigger, looking South from Pinos Altos toward Silver City:

The forum has been having server problems. I've taken to putting the pics on photobucket to save Find's some disk space. It looks as though they had run out of space, but I think they got it straightened out now -- at least they're all showing up for me...
Actually, I was a bit embarassed to post my few little finds, but dang it, I'm gonna get good at this if it's the last thing I do! And I really do enjoy getting out to explore the area and learning about the history of the area.
