Here are a few Croatian coins I found at a local swimming/resort lake 2 or 3 years ago. I was hunting an area and dug a few newer coins but they were only just under the surface and I was wondering what was up with that as this lake has been here forever. Along came a few park workers and I thought oh crap, they will probably ask me to leave. They asked what I was looking for and I explained, coins, rings and metal things and that this was just a hobby. They told me the area I was hunting in had been stripped out of the dirt and relayed just a few years ago, thus shallow newer coins. They also told me there was a sand volley ball court just out of eye sight, I would have never known it was there, so I gave it a try. I found a hand full of German coins and these Croatian coins. However, I just found out they are Croatian coins while doing this post, found an informative site that explains everything about them. I thought they are interesting finds because they are out of place and far from home. Here is the obverse of the coins.
