A few cool finds

Went out last weekend to a site across from our City Hospital, its an old football sized field that some say was part of the Hospital at the turn of the century, now its just a grass field that is frequently cut. I was using the Coin program with my 5.3 coil. I was pulling up many gulf ball sized chunks of metal until I got a hit in the low 80's about 8 inch's deep. It was reading silver but I believe it is another type of metal. It was the Branson Knitters pat. plate. I believe it may be from a loom or something like that. The date's stamped on the plate read in the late 1800's. The Roosters Tail was found at a park about 7 inches deep, it may be 50+ years old, I am not to sure on the age of tackle just by looking at it. The buttons were found in a field across from the Rochester NY Armory. And the French Horn Mouthpiece was found at a local school 4 inches deep. It may be silver or silver plated, it reads Vincent Bach Corp.11. All were found with the 5.3 on Coin, and no silver coins to show for it. Maybe this weekend. Thanks for looking, Ron in Henrietta NY

The next best thing for me is old patent dates. They are second to silver. You are definitely on track, silver in your future for sure.:clapping:

Nice going Ron,

Some trumpet/french horn mouth pieces can be worth a bit. I have found a F H mouthpiece that is 92.5 silver and yours looks like it could be as well. Most were silver plated brass,but---- well, ya sure need to check it out. A Bach is a cut above and easily researched.
Really nice work
