A fetching day at the lake (long, many pics)

John-edmonton came by this morning and we headed out to an old lake in his nice new Saturn Vue. Nice being driven by someone else, it left me free to admire the fall scenery.

We arrived at the lake to see one of the cottagersplaying fetch with his yellow lab.

Here's John wading, he jumped right in while I lounged on the beach having a coffee and snapping photos.

After hunting a while I had another dog come along and insist I toss a ball for him. I tossed it until my arm hurt then waded out to get away from him but darned if the silly thing didn't come out and keep floating the ball in front of me for more play! Man , I couldn't stop laughing. Great dog...

I had a good day, no gold today but I did get some coins and other odds and ends plus a beautiful sterling silver bracelet band. Here is John inspecting the bracelet.

And my finds for the day, including a fancy pants ring... LOL! Ok..its just aluminum but that plastic found its way into my scoop and I couldn't resist using it in this post....

Its been a great weekend, good finds, good fun and good friends. Just what detecting is all about.
