Sometimes the treasures you get don't go in the "goody" bag. The wife and I were detecting a large grass parking area. We found the usual change and a beautiful western style silver ring. We also found a girls sr class ring from a town about 75 miles away. The next morning we contacted the school and found the girl had graduated last year but helps out at the school at times. They took our contact info and said they would contact the girl. Just a few minutes later the girls mother called. The ring had been lost several months ago but the daughter had just told her a couple of weeks ago. We mailed it to them this morning. I hope she gets as much of a thrill at getting the ring back as we did in being able to return it.
