A Different Way A Detector Can Talk To You.

A little back ground.
My best friend and I have a bond that is stronger then that of brothers. Jake ( John ) and I have been partners for over 35 years. We dredged gold together, metal detected together, worked in the same industries together and shared adventures that would make your hair stand up on the back of your neck. We have had our backs against the wall too many times and lived thru many very close tight spots.
He moved back home to Missouri about 18 years ago. We keep in touch and about every 2 years I go back for a month or two and stay with him.
Even though we are a couple thousand miles apart, we are always together. If one is in need, the other one knows. Time and distance is no barrier to either of us. We communicate on a higher level you might say.
This past Sunday is when this story starts.

This has got me a little unnerved and now a little worried.

Sunday I was on the computer and at 7:32 AM, a picture of the last supper, that has hung on the wall for 20 years, fell to the ground. I thought it was odd and wondered if something happened to someone in the family.

Then later in the morning I was detecting in a very large park. I was digging a target and heard someone call my name. I looked around and no one was in the park but me. Then I realized that I can't hear anything thru my headphones from the outside.

Yesterday I found This dog tag in my park down the street. This is the only thing I found all day.

I emailed Jake, as he doesn't answer the phone all the time, but have not gotten an answer back yet. That's not like him.

Yikes! .....He's not returning your calls? Does he have any family you can get in touch with? Hope all is well. Keep trying and let us know.

weird how those things happen ..... I can totally relate..... I could share some co-incitdence , but ,man some of them still freak me out.... so I hope all is well with your friend ......

Thanks to all for the care wishes.
It's been 10 hours now since I have tried to contact Jake. He never goes any place without his lap top. And he is always quick to respond back to me.
Funny, it's always been me people contact to try and find him.
I know it is probably just some strange coincidence, and my imagination is starting to run wild, but him not responding really makes me nervous.
I have lost track of his daughters thru the years, as they are living in different states. I'm sure if something happened, someone would get a hold of me.
If I don't hear anything tonight, I will be heading for Missouri.
I will keep you posted.

Thanks again,
Randy.

some crazy circumstances I hope this story turns out well

I definitely understand the concern.

Good News.
Jake has been found and everything is OK.
It turns out that everything was just a strange set of circumstances that allowed the imagination to run a little wild.
Thanks all for your concerns.
Randy.

Great news! :clapping:
