I got out for about 3 hours Saturday, hit an old house and picked up a 1924 wheat and one modern coin. Walked to the nearby old scout camp which we have pounded hard for almost two years. It is only producing now when the ground is saturated. Hit it twice earlier this year and pulled up 15 coins, about half wheat pennies, no silver. Got 4 more out of there including first silver of the year, a near flawless 1957 quarter.
Sunday my brother & I hit three places and pulled up 40 coins. No good ones for me but he got a 45 Mercury and his first ever Barber dime, 1906. Looks like a good start to 2006.
