Now here is a follow up post for some of those that are tracking my last post for those that have not it is on www.americanrelichunters.com and a few other sites. I needed a new password here and could not cut and paste for this site and did not feel like re-typing my photos and such....sorry guys.

Now I love coins and that is the reason I got into detecting as a hobby and any time I can get a coin to add to my poke I am thriiled weather it be a wheat back, or a zinc penny. Period coins for the sites I like to hunt are pure bonus, plus I also consider them artifacts. My guide was nice enough to allow me usage of a few of his photos and I and we owe him a bit of thanks.

On that note, I was able to find a nice coin while relic hunting with Duane. I skipping like nobodys business as I had just seen him find a gold dollar a few days prior...well near my final hunt there I managed to hit an inch of ground no one else had swung their coil over! :)

My nicest one of that kind and I too waited a little while to clean the dirt from the front to see the date. I am told it is the only one like it of that date, to have been ever found on that site...at least documented. So, here it is, and here are her some of her sisters too!!!! :) Enjoy and thanks again Duane!

my area hardly dates that old, I am running low on ground and continue to be denied permission, any pointers???

What I wouldn't do to find a Silver 3-Cent Piece, Half Dime, or a Seated Half. Must be a great spot and hope you find more. Seated Coins are a tough one in North Dakota. Mostly Barbers here. Continued Success and Good Luck and HH.

Get with one of the locals that knows everyone is my only pointer...I guess the others tresspass...but I would not recommend that!

but if you surf the internet for post back in the late 90's, you'll stumble into it assuming some of them are still around. I also believe some of th treasure mags. elude to it to.

Not true...perhaps tough for the sites you hunt, but you have to hunt sites that were there when they were in usage to find them...at least the good ones. I know for a fact those sites exist there as i've hunted a few of them. Most are underwater for some reason in your area! :)

Just goes to show that nice finds are still out there for the one's will ing to do their homework.
Very Nice ... Thanks for sharing

Good Hunting

All I can say is holy crap.

Did you find that all yourself, or was that you and your buddies combined? Do you have a list of it all?

I thought I was going good finding one silver 3-center last year. Looks like you've got about 15 : )

How deep was most of the seated stuff?

The others were found at one "site" over a 15 plus year period. Funny thing was the average was 2 gold coins per every silver found on site. No way did I find those..just the one. He is in the middle of a book and a must buy when it is published...hopefully before that, I'll be able to squeeze a few more things out of there. It is not for the faint of heart now as the site has been hit like no other I've ever seen.

But, there are still some goodies left....one just has to work real hard for them. :)
