Relics, man I love to dig em'!!!! Nothing real deep, the carbine sling buckle was at 6" most bullets were at 2-4". Another big suprise was the tube of pistol percussion caps!! I thought I had a tube of dirt until I cleaned it. Always great to find those eagle buttons..............HH......MO

You make me sick!!! In a good sort of way!

That is why I bought my F-70. To relic hunt CW. stuff. I'm working 60 hr. weeks and have two twin grandsons I'm raising. I'm lucky to MD 3 hr. a week now. I'm 10 mi. from a large union encampment. I don't have the time to get permission and MD the area.

You did good. My day will come.

....Im not a big fan of grubby old leftovers, but you take the cake with those. That percussion magazine is really a neat find. You are living proof that it aint just the detector, but where you take it that matters.
And you hang in there John, you are doing a great job for your loved ones.

John, take care of business 1st buddy!!! I'm semi retired and can get out a little more. Remember guys, RESEARCH is the main factor in relic hunting. I've had the best streak of luck lately, that I have not had in years. I remember the old days when the only way you could find camps, was the old farmers saying that the had found bullets when the plow. Now we have the internet, the whole war at our fingertips to find new spots, and deeper running machines to work the "Hunted Out" spots. HH........MO
