A dated Buffalo

Found a 1917 Buffalo nickle today in a wooded area.It was next to a tree and I couldnt get the stock coil on the Vaq centered over it , but I still was getting a nickle reading. I was searching with sens at 10, threshold on the O of Tesoro and disc all the way to the left.It sounded good and I thumbed ut up and started to cackle on nickle. It was two to three inches deep.

That is a beauty! It has been sitting there a long time waiting for you.

Wow that's a super find!

I'd rather find a dated one of those than I would a mercury dime. They don't come along too often.
