A couple whatzits...

I found these things today. The ornate one is gold plated and surrounds a dowel . It is broken at one end so may have been longer. The other thing is heavy duty copper and inscription reads V.CLICQUOT.P I vaguely remember seeing that on a bottle so may be a top. Looks like a hole in the middle from a can opener. Any ideas? I going to google the name now. Have a good one!
