A couple silver today...

I got in a short hunt between rain showers in the yard of an 1945 farmhouse. I tried ferrous tones today since there wasn't a lot of modern trash in the yard and it worked well for me. My first target was a clad dime. The next good target I dug was a merc. It was under a mass of roots and hard to get out. I replaced the plug and started to walk away when I realized that the signal sounded awful big to be a dime so I rechecked the spot. Sure enough I'd left something. I removed the plug and made a trip to the car and got my pruning shears. After cutting two roots I found the junk ring. Checking with my pinpointer again I found the Rosie. Had to leave because of rain but I was successful enough with ferrous tones I'm going to try it again.
