A couple questions on the V3I

Just got the V3I a couple days ago and have been messing around with it a good bit but nothing serious. Have been trying to learn the controls and explore all the different settings. Boy they are a bunch of them for sure.

One question i have is are most of the setting program specific? Do they stay set in that program even if you make changes to another one. I assume they are but if you guys know of any that do not i would appreciate that info.

Next is how many of you guys use (0) tone id for minus VDI numbers instead of using discrimination and to what extent. Also is there any reason not to?

Not having used this type of detector before ( heck i am a newbie to all detectors) i think Whites done a good job with there menus and how you can navigate Thur them. Whit all the different settings anything less would be a nightmare. I really like the live controls for sure.

Thanks guys for any info you are willing to put forth.

Hello

[size=medium]I've had the same machine now since last may...
For sure it is something for what it can do just in the stock programs alone.
Yes if your in c&J and you make changes then its there the changes stay until you change them or restore to stock c&J
on discrimination it depends on what your after....if you want jewerly the leave your numbers low you want to accept -8 up
now also in parks i do not use the stock coils..this is important...the 6x10 is my main coil also I use the 4x6 that one takes some getting used to its a surgical coil..lol really!
Good Luck brother and now you have a machine that you can grow with.....and it we take some time too.. but your love getting there
