I've been trying to create a new mode and change tones on the xchange 2 and move them to the ctx.I do the changes and save them on the xchange and the ctx shows the usb is connected, but the mode and changes don't appear when I check the ctx.Am I missing something? Also I'm trying to expand the HZ range from 970 to 1200 on 50 tone ferrous coin. Can this be done and if so how? Thanks in advance for any help.

To move a newly created mode in XChange2, make sure you save it with a name you'll recognize. It should appear in the ALL file. Drag a copy of that program to the FILE category, then drag it from File to your CTX icon. (If you have already set up a Collection file, it should appear there). Make sure you don't turn off the CTX until after you've removed the USB cable, and the changes have been made in the CTX.

There is no 50 tone Ferrous mode. There is 35 tone Ferrous and 50 Tone Conductive. I might assume you meant Conductive. If so, to expand the HZ range 50 tone Conductive, pull up the program in edit mode of XChange2, click on Tone ID profile tab........you will see a speaker icon on the left and one on the right. When you click on the one on the right, it will play the current tone setting, and indicate what freq it is set at. To change that frequency, simply slide the little red arrow to the frequency you want, and click on save. That program will now be saved with the new tone setting.

Digger, I must say you do a pretty darned good job dealing with us! So, Thanks!!! PS., I dont have a problem, I am happy with the CTX!! I get in 20 - 25 hours a week and I NEVER have a CTX issue. I find lots of good stuff and at my age, 71, heck it is all gravy!

Thanks again for the patience.
