A couple of old auto finds.......

Since some others are posting old automobile related finds I'll post a couple. The first photo is a pretty rough looking Chief of The Sixes token from 1926, the year the Pontiac with a six cylinder engine was introduced. It was found at an old homesite back in the middle 1980's. The Nash emblem was used from 1917 until the early 1920's. It was found a couple of years ago at a construction site that previously had a pre Civil War antebellum house and later a garage and service station.

Thanks for posting.

Once had a Pontiac w straight 8 flathead + hydramatic.
What a nice car. Wish I still had it.

Here is one I found that is different and found out there was a Cole car, but was discontinued I believe in 1926. It is also the first presidential automobile and was used by Howard Taff. It is fun to find these old relics and find info on them as you get to hold a piece of history.

Thanks for the date on that "Chief of the Sixes" token. 1926, eh? I didn't know that. I have dug one of those tokens myself, and assumed it was later, from the 1950s or so.

PS- my Pontiac token is a little bit better, but that ain't sayin' much, I realize. Cool finds, regardless of the condition.

I also have some old Ford Model T (?) (Model A?) hubcaps and a radiator gauge from some old auto.

My most interesting, besides a 1940 NC license plate I once found inside the garage of an old house we lived in up there, is a round grille emblem that has a cross in the middle and the word "MORTICIAN" on it.

I don't have pictures of any of these items handy, though.

Here's a couple of car things I've found over the years. I'm not sure if the SELDEN plate is off of an early car or coach. Some one told me it's worth about $125.00, but I doubt it. Everyone has had some nice emblems. Will have to go to an antique car show and see if it's worth anything.

Mine came from a saltwater beach and was heavily corroded.

So many nice finds, I found a couple last year. I posted these on another
forum and was told the key was from a model A Ford and the emblem had
been mounted to a bumper around the same time period . Emblem says
Automobile Touring Assn. Motor Club. Key says Ford #51 on back.
Thanks for looking.

This is a 1949 license plate corner renewal tag I found years ago. No peel and stick on back then.

Seeing the Pontiac token reminded me of one I found years ago in Dallas. Mine is in extremely fine
condition except for a square nail hole along the edge. I also found a 1 x 2 Willys tag in a NM ghost.
Also a Body by Fisher brass plate I found here in the Panhandle of Texas.

Here's my Pontiac piece, and an Oldsmobile one, too.
