morning all
went to the local park and did a little searching yesterday afternoon .Only found 2 quarters and 2 pennies . When almost ready to leave found one of those " what is it " . Its bronze or copper, feels heavy has some cut marks on it like it escaped the lawnmower at one time but I have on clue as to what it is . Any one know ?

Picture is not clear enough for me to really see the critter very well...Almost looks like the handle to an old peculator coffee pot, or the handle for a cup???Is the piece solid all the way around, or is it open on one side? Are there any weld marks on the flat side of what looks like a "D" shape?

It is a fugative Letter D from the old Sesame Street Show. Actually I am with BH-L. I can't see it clearly enough to tell what it is. How big is it? I can't tell from the picture. Could it be part of a D buckle with the "tongue" part missing?

The "what is it" thing is about 1 1/4 inches long about 3/8 inch wide , solid metal looks to be brass or something similar.Very heavy in weight. I washed it off still it was a little "green in color" so took some tooth paste and a brush and "washed it " again. Still didnt give me a clue so took some green rubbing paste and polished a little on it . It was coming "bright" but still didnt give a clue. It has no markings at all

Hmmm...If it is only 1 1/4 inches and solid, I am now thinking saddle strap buckle, knapsack buckle, or a small shoe buckle perhaps...
