We are back to travelling in our 5th wheeler, while travelling around the Bay Of Islands we stopped at a Paihia beach, there was an area about 50 metres long were the sand had been washed out causing a distinct dip in the beach, what a goldmine, while I was locating and digging the tid's my wife followed with the pinpointer picking out the coins and refilling the holes,we managed a total of 216 coins over around 5 hours of digging $47 dollars in spendable money the rest were older decimal coins and a few old pennies etc, well worth the sore back and extreme sunburn, boy did we sleep well that night.
The next day at a different beach it was harder going but managed to pick up the two rings, one a mens 9kt and the other a ladies also 9kt along with a few dollars and a bit of junk jewellery.........a great few days...KJ
