I got up an hour early, to give me time for a quick hunt before work. Five minutes into it the AT Pro gave me an unmistakeable, repeatable high tone. It was one of those that you know it's silver before you dig it. I still had a doubt, because I know I had scanned this ground multiple times in the past. Anyway, it was this Barber, and only three inches deep. Goes to show that no place is hunted out.
I then dug a couple old shell casings, and then got another repeatable signal, with a small iron grunt on each end of the high tone. I dug it anyway, and 8 inches deep was this Indian. This seems to happen with all the deep Indians I've dug...ya get an iron grunt, too. Maybe it's the trashy area...there are lots of nails.
I then dug a couple of those blessed bottlecaps...deep, and sounded like the Indian did.
I started to think I had better get going, and about that time another high, clear tone. I turned 90 degrees and it was still there. Out of the last hole at about 6 inches came this seated dime.
I'll probably be a bit tired at work, but it was worth it!
