Really? Just ok? You killed it in my book! Nice find!

Can I have the next 2 hour shift??:jump:

You did real good. As always, the finds tell a lot about the past. Some big crop fields will produce nothing at all. A farmer told me -- the large areas without trees are because fire wood was needed long ago. Trees were cut down long ago for firewood, not to make crop fields. But later with tractors, those vast treeless areas were very convenient to plant crops, but almost nothing is there to be found. Areas that were the actual crop fields more than100 years ago will have the ancient coins and other old stuff that was lost each year. Yesterday, I searched a large crop field and detected nothing but nails, some larger iron pieces and soda cans, no coins. At the edge of the field that is closest to the house I dug a 1903 Barber half and a 1899 Barber quarter, but no coins or relics out in the field.

Cant wait to see your good day! Thanks for the pics and good luck in your next hunt.
