A copper kinda weekend

I received permission to hunt an old house this weekend. The owner said the house was built in the 20's. I did a little more research an found a map with a structure on it back in 1904. This made the house more interesting. I hunted the house for two days 6 hours each day.

This is what i came out with. 3 large cents 1802,1832,1847, a 2 cent piece 1864, about 20 wheats, 2 mercs, 1 rosie, 1 1944 washington, 3 Indians 1868,1888,1905, a silver thimble, good for 25 cents token, a few buttons, a couple of buckles and a first for me an 1858 flying eagle cent. I also found 2/3 of george II copper 17xx's and of course the clad.

What was your average depth on the coins Thankx.

Hi Sube,

I would say 5-8 inches on most coins except two of the large cents they were down the full length of my lesche hand digger, thimble and buttons were quite deep also. This place is square nail city and just about every coin had a nail with it or around it.

The ground your hunting in is preserving them coins quite well. That 1802 largie looks awesome! And so does the rest of the coins. Congrats on the flying eagle. That one is on my list.

Congrats on the wide assortment of finds. The "modern" silver and relics are great. But any time you can find 9 cents that is comprised of 3 Large cents, 3 Indian Heads, a Flying Eagle and a Two-Cent piece...... that is an amazing day! Thanks for sharing the pics and post. HH Randy
