A Copmment ON The Cortes

I hunted a couple of days back at an old farm, and in the process of hunting I swept the coil across the bottom of a rusted out 5 gallon bucket, the Cortes only made a click, I had the disc. set just above iron. I couldnt believe how well the Cortes cancelled out that rusty metal, that bucket bottom was about a foot in diameter. I have only had the Cortes for about a week, I really like the iron rejecting abilities of this machine. HH And Merry X-Mas

I found out likewise Jerry. The Cortes has some good discrimination! When I was field testing the Cortes, I came across several targets that really impressed me. First I received a signal that read Copper/Cent at 7 inches. I retrieved a large piece of Copper wire (large gauge, 4" long) at 7 inches. Not a penny, but ID was correct in metal content and depth. Next target read Aluminum Screw cap, 4 inches deep. At 4" was an Aluminum target arrow, again correct metal ID, and depth. I also dug a large iron reading at 12 inches. It was a Grape soda, tin can that was crushed flat. I just wanted to see what it was. The Cortes has some good ID characteristics, which is impressive to me. Good hunting, David @ Dixie
