A Coincidence

Here is a coincidence. In 2004 I spent a week at Ganes Creek, looking for gold. I wrote about that week in this forum. There was a couple there, Arthur and Melody Tallis. Arthur was a doctor and i think Melody said she was an RN. Well, as a lover of gold hunting stories, I have been watching the TV show (on the History Channel) "gold Rush."

In that series the Dakota boys are there in their second season and were expecting to do better than last year at a place called Skunk Creek. I think it was Skunk Creek. Anyway to do better they hired help in the form of a lady, Melody Tallis.

I will try to attach a photo. It was our Melody from 2004. You may look up Melody Tallis on Facebook and that is her. I remember that she had been raised in Fairbanks, Alaska. I guess gold hunting and living in Alaska gets in your blood. The week in 2004 she found an 11 Oz nugget which was the best one found that week.

Found a second photo of Melody, the lady star in the Gold Rush TV show. After a full day swinging a metal detector she would still sluice and pan.
