A burgundy colored classic?

I recently saw an add on feebay or one of the classifieds where someone was selling one of the new whites classics. The display housing was a burgundy color, and I thought that someone had gotten cute and painted the display housing Burgundy. To my surprise I went to the Whites company website and low and behold ,there in the advertising was pictured a Whites classic with a burgundy housing and armrest. Has anyone purchased one of the new classics yet and what color is yours? I personaly thought that the burgundy color looked icky, but they show one in black in the add as well.Perhaps whites was just toying with the idea of coloring them like that to make them look different.?

The new Coinmaster's are a nice burgundy color ... period.

Personally, I like the color. It is the same housing and similar circuitry design as the Prizm series, so the black version you saw was most likely a Prizm model. .Yes, they were designed to look different. I kind of like it as it is refreshing to have something other than basic black offered to us.

They work very well and are now quite probably the best dollar value on the market for an "entry-level" Target ID detector. It doesn't take the place of my XLT or MXT, but it's a fun unit to grab for some quick work in tot lots, and a nice unit for some of my kids and grand-kids who might share my interest in the sport. A near perfect "loaner unit," too.
