I've received a lot of questions about the new relic book Relics and Reminiscing: Diary of a Lowcountry Digger. I thought I'd answer them on the forum briefly if you'll allow.
Yes, the book was released this year, in late January. It's brand new, not a reprint. It's the first new work on the market in the past five years. It's hardback, coffee table-sized with 133 photos that are around 98 percent color.
Also, the photos are close-ups as opposed to pictures taken at a distance. Through the years, I'd always wanted to see a book that gave me close shots so I could identify, perhaps, my own relic, have something to compare it with. And that is what I did with this book -- you have close up shots that leave little room for squinting (unless your glasses are like mine -- in need of a new prescription
).
Please do not feel that this post is a signal to stop inquiring as to the nature or content of the book. I thought if a few folk had a question, maybe others did as well.
