A boy and his boat.....

I wrote the following as kind of a fun thing for my Sunday school class. Not sure if I like it or not <img src="/metal/html/shrug.gif" border=0 width=37 height=15 alt=":shrug"> I thought some of you might enjoy it.
I heard of a boy who longed for a boat.
To sail upon a stream.
But money was scarce, and times were too hard.
For his parents to purchase his dream.
So he read everything he could find.
To learn how to build his own toy.
And created a fine little ship.
That would bring him hours of joy.
The day came when he tested the waters.
In a small little babbling creek.
And the little boat sailed down the swift waters.
Into a river that flowed mighty and deep.
The boy watched in heartbroken sorrow.
As the boat in the waves was tossed.
For the river entered into the ocean.
And his precious creation was lost.
Days later in a shopkeepers window.
The boy was elated to see.
The fine little boat he created.
That he thought had been lost to the sea.
But the boat that he had loved and created.
And had given up as lost.
Was now offered for sale by another.
To any who would cover the cost.
The boy made a vow to reclaim it.
To somehow the ransom to pay.
And he gave his most precious possession .
To buy back his creation that day.
Reunited with that which he loved, the boy was heard to say......

...but sometimes when I read your words all lined up in a perfect series of rows, I lean toward it muchly.
Such a great piece. May I use it sometime? I will most surely give you the credit and credit to the Father from whom I know it came. <><
