A bit 'o silver this weekend.

Friday and Saturday I did a couple night beach hunts. After the hurricane then the nor'easter a week later and the storm surges, I hoped to pick up some older silver coins and some rings. Well, for a number of hours work I found no rings and one ol' 1920 Merc.(plenty of clad though and enough zincolns to choke a horse).
Sunday with the beautiful weather I made a short trip to my IH park. I hadn't been there for at least a couple months. I found a Barber dime 1914, an IH 1906, and three wheats: 1917, and two 1919s. At least I found silver.
Thanks for sharing. Bruce

That's a nice hunt Bruce. Good finds.

how many keepers have you pulled out of your "Indian head park" now?

I have a favorite site like that where most of my goodies come from...and it has been kind to me like your site has to you.

Any totals on your Injuns'?:beers:

Nice hunt, bud.

Response to Bryce's question and thanks for all replies.
I hunted this park 35 years ago and pulled a few keepers, but in the last two years I've pulled about 250 keepers not counting wheats (269 wheats of which 149 have been dated pre-1920). So, counting wheats, over 500 keepers.
My total Indians is 177 (plus 2 flying eagles). I've rarely left a hunt there without more than one IH. That's why I always called it IH park.

That is amazing and makes a pretty big pile of pennies. Seems there would be some keepers among those keepers. Any rare date coins in there?

Rich

Hi Rich. There are some scarcer dates among the IHs and wheats but nothing key. I've also found quite a bit of other coinage re silver, etc that I didn't list.
This park has been a "go to" spot for me in between new spots.
Thanks for asking. Bruce
