I am officially tired of my new site. Maybe because is was almost 90 this morning and I got a little dehydrated. I think there was a house there once because I have been encountering more and more building materials and some 40 year old clad coins toward the back of the site. Also note the old Valaze beauty cream lid. It might have been a dump too. 61 more coins. 459 to go.

My friend Kipper may not have even caught this one. There was a penny stuck to one of the quarters in column 1 so it is actually 62 coins and 458 to go.

I am so obsessed with this goal. The tips of my fingers are all cracked and one is even bleeding. Thank God I go back to work tomorrow so I can rest up for the weekend!

The notables from this hunt are the modern Mexico 5 Peso bimetallic coin (weird signal), the blue cross pendant, the Porky Pig Pin (triple P), a Memorial Cent in a bezel, and all those nickels. Somebody kindly left all those wonderful nickels for me. It was probably (definitely) me. Last time I was there I might have been skipping them to concentrate on higher value coins. Look how few quarters one of my "hot" quarter spots produced tonight.

I finished on exactly 4000 US coins total for 2008 and 395 from 10,000 with 12 days to go. Also broke the $1,000.00 total loot found with my GTI 2500. $1,000.18.

Did I detect a lot this weekend or what?
