Hooked up with my Etrac buddy this morning at one of our old city parks. About a half hour into the hunt I looked up and he was walking over in my direction with something in his hand. That usually means silver and all I had was a wheat back thus far. In his hand was a flattened out piece of silver about the size of a nickel. On one side there appeared to be the outline of a head. The other side was pretty dirty so I gave it a light water rinse and we saw what appeared to be the flattened wreaths of a Barber dime. Which, it was. Don't know if he will be able to pull a date off of it, or not. Someone sure did a number on it. About a half hour later I got a screaming hit reading 93-94 on the A T. In my three weeks with the A T Pro, I had never seen those numbers. Now, though, hope I see a few more. From about 3" I popped a nice 1923 Peace dollar. The first picture is with just a portion of the edge showing off in the side of the hole. The second is with it on top of the clump. I also got 3 wheat cents and some clad this morning. I hadn't been posting finds of late as they have been coming one at a time. The 2 Mercury dimes I got this past Sat. A real nice 1917 and a 36. I think I am learning the language of the A T for deeper coins. At least I am digging some anyway. HH jim tn

Woweee! I wonder if anybody else ever got a coil over it and walked away thinking buried can top? What settings are you running?
Congratulations! That sure is a beauty!:clapping:

Damn! I had to log back in for another look! I am excited to see what you will be finding once you get that Pro in the water!

Hey Mud, thanks. I was in pro zero, iron off and 8 sen with a g b of 86. I've noticed the Pro's g b runs several points higher then does my LTD on this site. I am digging 7 and 8" deep dimes and cents with the Pro at around this setting, so depth seems fine. I've learned to check those screamers out. A lot of good big targets don't always get very deep. Yeah, that's what I'm running...Pro zero, 40 disc, iron off and sens a few clicks below high. I hit a Q in the dry sand today at least 10" loud and clear with a decent tid to boot...well, the top 4" of sand were dry anyway...a big silver ring will give you those low 90's with that setting as you can imagine. I must say you have had some great success right out of the box with the Pro, I am looking forward to seeing some gold from you soon, perhaps even that sought after coin?
Very awesome find there Jim!:clapping:

Guess your really liking that At pro now hu ??. and just think you haven't hit the water yet.

Sure would like to know the story of how that Peace Dollar was lost............. Maybe it was that gangster you wrote about LOL

She's a beauty, too! Congratulations! Amazing that she was just 3" underfoot for 90 years and nobody nabbed her!

That is jaw dropping!!

athat is nice, A,T pro rocks & the Etrack but i think the pro rocked a bit more on that hunt

Wow that's a beauty Jim. Congrats !

Hey Jim--Great digs, congrats!----I didn't even know you had acquired an AT Pro---I gotta learn to keep up with the conversation/posts better.--------Del

Do you still Use & Have the F-75LTD? I picked up an AT-Pro a month ago, but have not used it much!! I want to use it some more on my Favorite Saltwater Bch., because the
Finds have been TERRIBLE this yr.!! Actually, Unbelievably Terrible!! Best of LUCK Jim, Les Robinson

I often wonder if a kid lost it for show and tell, or an adult had a hole in his/her pocket? I guess we will never know.

Hi Les, yes, I still have the F 75 LTD. I had been wanting to try the A T Pro for some time and with a Mn fresh water trip coming up I decided to quit procrastinating and pull the trigger on the A T for getting in the water with. It is proving to be a wonderful land detector and am anxious to get it in the water. Thanks everyone! HH jim tn
