A big seller has the 5x10" DD 18.75 kHz advertised.....

They show it on their website:

They're asking $119.00 for it in something called an "intro offer". I have no idea what that means.

They say it will only work on the xt70. Is that right? I thought the xt50 was set to take this coil too.

But I guess the 18 5X10DD coil would cover some pretty good ground on the beach and the price aint bad either.

I just bought one of these for "sweeping" the sand at the beach, and, I hope there is a 5" DD at 7.5khz in the next couple of weeks. I have my fingers crossed. It just makes sense (to me).

I haven't heard yet from Minelab on the availability of this coil here in Australia yet. I was hoping it was going to be more in the style of Coiltek's Platypus but I still would love to get this new coil. I am so itching to try that new 5x10 on the beaches here (or even the occasional gold prospecting).

Ready than to change it to The 3 or 7.5 Khz coil is easy. Demand is always a driving factor. The first 5x10 is for the prospectors....The next should be 7.5 for the coin and beach hunter.

Of course this is my opinion and not in stone.
