A BIG first for me. (Could have been loads better!)

I finally found a buried roll of coins. Pennies :(! I am going to guess they were lost in 1994. They dated from 1959-1994. No wheats. There was no trace of the paper. They were down about 3 inches one one end and about 5 inches on the other end. I only managed 47 coins and I spent the better part of 15 minutes looking. It is very possible I left them on the grass where I was digging. I could have used something to put them in.

The rest of the stuff is from 3 sites. Local beach netted one coin spill of 7 quarters and 1 dime in half hour. Easement near beach 35 cents in 15 minutes. Local park one trip down one side all the rest with the pennies in 1 hour 45 minutes. I went off the beaten path and found that it had plenty to dig. I'll go back. Off to see Mom for the weekend. I hope I'll be posting some nice finds on Sunday night.

Happy Mother's day to all of you mothers out there. There is a nasty joke you can insert here if you wish.

Chris

Also found 55 cents in a washing machine at the laundry. Not my machine either.

Nice find. To bad it wasn't nickels, or dimes, or................
