Wait for it.... $1.70!!! Mostly stinkin' zincolns. I decided that it would be a good day (holiday & Monday, most stores closed) to get out and try the old alley behind the circa 1890s stores and near what was once Main Street, before the floods turned it into a ravine. Spent a beautiful four hours out in shirt sleeve 60-ish degrees and pulled 65 coins out of it, but sure couldn't find much to brag about. 34 rotten zincolns, 21 pennies from the 60's - '83 (Copper, at least they're worth 2.25 cents if we get to melt them down, heh), 9 clad dimes and one stinking quarter. Sheesh. But it was an enjoyable day, and the new ProPointer and Lesche got a good workout (sold the White's Bullseye - got $66 on feeBay fer it
).
I suspect that they added fill back there at some point. Ah, well, if it stays warm, maybe I'll hop in the creek and see if I can do better. Gotta be a few Reales or nuggets in there somewhere!
HH to all!
