That's some mighty nice looting

Question for you - do you run your CZ-21 in AM or disc mode?

Although I mainly use it for deep silver coin turf hunting, I've been using my CZ-70 at the beach recently and so far have found one 14K gold ring, and one .925 silver ring with it in the wet sand.

Thanks and HH,
Brian

Hi Brian: I never hunt in all metal mode, I always hunt in disc mode with the discrimination turned to the minimum and I let my ears do the discriminating. I like to hear the iron targets as sometimes they mask non-ferrous targets and I can hear those better when I hear both at the same time. Call me a throw back but I have not jumped on the All Metal Mode bandwagon, I don't see the extra depth everyone raves about and I think you lose time by switching back and forth between disc and all metal on every target you hit. I try to maximize the low tide window I have so anything extraneous gets cut from the program.
Cover more ground and hit more targets in the exposed low tide zone is what works for me.

Cheers,

BDA:cool:

Been there, done that and don't need another T-shirt (especially a thermal one).:lmfao: I saw snow for the first time since 2003, just last month when I had to make a trip to Ontario in winter. I was there in a 'warm spell' and nearly froze my cahones off. Nope, this Canadian is staying where it is warm for the rest of his life - Canada is a country I love but only love to visit and only in the summer.(I'm not that excited about getting taxed till I'm blind either):nono:
I've check into the Rhum Agricole and couldn't find any place nearby that carries it. It reminds me of Pyrat or Old Gold which I like with a mix but for sipping I prefer a darker rum (Gosling's Old Rum is another good one along with the Ron Zacapa).

Summer Soon Come, Mate.:super:

Hi BDA, I think we're on the same page. I run disc mode with no discrimination, nothing notched (I also like to hear the iron), and have dug quite a few iron bouncers that turned out to be keepers. More so in the turf where they turned out to be deep silver dimes or such, but some coins at the beach as well.

Thanks and happy looting,
Brian
