I hit 4 lakes today. Gave me something to do in my spare time. First lake gave me the only gold and a silver band and a silver Canadian dime. Second lake gave me two dateless buffalo and the silver religious medal and chain Third lake gave me two silver rings and a stainless steel one. The last lake gave me the gold plated double ring.

The square with the peace sign says My tribute to the forces on the back and it looks plated. Three wheat's 1937,40 and 45. Brass religious medal and brass heart were my other finds.

OHH and I found the bat car!! Missing the bottom but the top is solid and in one piece! Dog tag is not real.

Gold ring is 14K and 3 grams. Nothing huge.

Nice hunt! Looks like you are back in MI then? Where does a buffalo nickel hit at on your CZ? My 20 gives a mixed med-high tone.

Got back in Michigan on Monday, worked on Tues and decided to play on Wend. Nickels are strange. Some a high tone, some a mid tone and some bounce high and mid. These two were both high tones. They were caked in crud and that could have been the reason. It broke off really easy, but the crud is why the dates are gone I believe. When I find them in sand, I get ones with dates on them.

I dig all tones that bounce, even low to mid, most of them are Canadian steel coins if not bottle tops. You will never know if you don't dig and its so easy to fan your hand and find a target.

4 lakes sounds like a long day of detecting...some good recovery's...what ever happened to the jobbie newbe hunt??? Ever make it to the post party hunt?

I get my boat back tomorrow. Never got out to the island YET. Maybe next week, not sure. LOL never a long day, just a fun day!! I have my sights on a few other lakes and a long drive in Michigan for Sunday - Tuesday. So if any of you Michiganders see a maroon Exploder with a Scuba diver sticker on the bumper at one of your lakes, please feel free to say hello. I plan on doing some diving, detecting and camping.
