A 22 bullet casing in the midst of trash - Vaquero

Went hunting for an hour today at an old home site. Lots of trash , rusty cans... I wasnt digging all the targets , did not have time. In a particularly trashy area I heard this mellow tone in between the rusty cans. Dug it and it was a 22 casing. Im amazed the machine picked it out of that mess . This was with the stock coil even. The vaquero really separates well. Anyway it convinced me to get a smaller coil . That will be my Christmas this year.

You won't regret getting a 5.75 concentric coil. It's works great in the trashier areas. It gets about the same depth as the stock coil does and it's lighter.

If I didn't have the 8 inch doughnut coil, I'd be using the 5.75 inch coil 100% of the time over the stock coil.

When you get the small coil I think you will be very happy with how it opens up the trashy areas.

Hey tabman, Why would the 8" coil stop you from purchasing the smaller coil?
Sorry ,I'm a newbe.

I have the small 5.75 inch coil and use in really trashy areas. The 8 inch doughnut coil is kinda in between the small coil and the stock coil.

I'm not a fan of the stock web coil. I prefer the 8 inch doughnut coil because it's lighter and is tad easier to pinpoint with.

If I had a choice between the 5.75 inch coil and the stock 9 x 8 inch coil, I'd go with the smaller coil.

The choice is not as easy when it comes comparing the 8 inch doughnut coil to the 5.75 inch coil, because they're closer in size.
