9x12 v the stock coil????

Anyone had any experience they would like to share on the comparison of these two coils? I've noticed an awful lot of stock coils for sale lately.

I have low mineralization in my soil, and have extensively used both. For coin and jewellry hunting on land, I much more prefer the 9 x 12 concentric coil. I get much better accurate discrimination, especially with bottle caps. The 81/2 x 11 DD coil tends to ID bottle caps as coins, which is it's only downfall. I find the depth about the same, and pinpointing with the 9 x 12 on the inner front toe is dead on. I have used both in water, and either one suites me fine. I tend to dig all targets anyways, and usually use my Infinium PI or ATX PI. If my soil was more mineralized, I might consider using the DD coil, only to gain depth.

Below is a link to an article on search coils which you might find of interest. I also included a comparison histogram doing an air test with both coils.
